The original composite thread including polyfilament central base with smooth polymer coating is proposed. The thread is of high strength and slip improving the approach of wound edges with minimum physical efforts of surgeon's hands, eliminating saw effect and excess traumatism of tissue.
In surgical practice a great number of methods are used to assess the course of the wound process; however, the search for more informative tests to reveal the nature of the wound process and reparative regeneration is still relevant. One of the directions of this search is the quantitative determination of the specific components participating in the reparative tissue regeneration in the wound discharge. Such methods include the detection of protein, collagen and its derivatives, glycosaminoglycans etc. in the wound discharge.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
