Objective: In the present research, a clear systematic investigation of phytochemical screening and antibacterial activity of herbal plants such as Azadirachta indica and Plectranthus amboinicus has been carried out. Methods: The aqueous and alcoholic extract was prepared in soxhlet apparatus and phytochemical analysis of extracts was performed and analysed. The in vitro antimicrobial activity was performed by cup plate method. These extracts were studied under agar diffusion method against three bacterial species such as Bacillussubtills, Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli at 5µg, 50 µg and 250 µg concentration. Results: The combine extract showed a predominant activity against these bacteria, which confirmed antimicrobial activity in AEAI and AEPA Conclusion: The results obtained in this study clearly indicate that AEAI and AEPA has a significant potential to use as an antimicrobial agent
Objective: To detect the microwave-assisted synthesis of Tetrahydropyrimidine derivative and its molecular docking studies for Diabetes. Methods: The Bignelli condensation method was used for Tetrahydropyrimidine derivative synthesis. The docking studies made in Argus Lab software. Results: The Tetrahydropyrimidine is synthesized using the microwave. The Tetrahydropyrimidine derivative is found to be attack the insulin receptor, as it the tendency of binding with insulin receptor showed in Argus lab. Further, the good binding site of Tetrahydropyrimidine derivative with insulin receptor was predicted. Conclusion: From the research work, The Tetrahydropyrimidine derivative shows its affinity to bind with the insulin receptor. The binding value is averagely 7 which indicates it can attraction with the receptor, so it can control Diabetic mellitus by altering insulin secretion in blood plasma.
Multiple sclerosis is a popular autoimmune disease attack mainly the Central nervous system. It attacks the age group of people from 20-50, mostly women are attacked than men. During multiple sclerosis, demyelination takes place along with axon damage and paralytic effect. Various symptoms of multiple sclerosis include muscle weakness, weak reflexes, muscle spasm, movement difficulty. Moreover, treatment of multiple sclerosis vai drugs includes various side effects. Medicinal plants possess many phytochemicals of greater therapeutic value and many of the possess effective to treat multiple sclerosis, Chemical constituents exhibit its effect over multiple sclerosis by inhibiting many proteins involved in demyelination. Molecular docking is a computational design approach which facilitates the best molecule from a group which may bind with the highest affinity with the intended target by providing a biological system. This process enables on the basis of the specific algorithm and involves a scoring function in order to rank molecules that fit the target. The study has been made to investigate the potential of phytochemicals from clitoria ternatea -inositol and quercetin as inhibitors of glutamate receptors. Drug likeness property determined based on molinspiration.com. The affinities of those selected chemical constituents over various glutamate receptor were studied for scoring function. Receptors with PDB code 1EQ8,4E0W,3KR2 were chosen to dock against the chemical constituent Inositol richest chemical constituent in Clitoria ternatea and scoring function was found to be -3.45,-4.56, -5.67kcal/mol.
A disorder with estrogen dependency comprising of inflammatory lesions outside the uterus, causing pain and inflammation in pelvis and affecting women of reproductive age with infertility and post reproductive age is endometriosis. Endometriosis is viewed as public health issue with a major impact on quality of life of women. Medically advanced computational and chemical treatments are available to treat the progression of the disease by diagnostic imaging, clinical examinations, imaging and laparoscopy often leading to immediate surgery. A warrantable rethinking on the diagnosis and management of endometriosis is to be assessed and medical treatments should be considered as first-line option for therapeutic relief for endometriosis by suppressing the systemic estrogen levels providing desirable efficacy and safety, prior to performing endometriosis surgery. The aim of this review is to describe natural products, hormonal and non-hormonal compounds that suppress the progression of endometriosis. Various herbal, conventional and traditional therapies are investigated to treat gynecological disease, endometriosis. The information in this paper include various studies assessing the use of novel treatments in addition to the herbal and hormonal products in the endometriosis therapy. Most of the studies involved were in scrutinizing the pharmacological activity profiles of various sources of drugs in endometriosis treatment, hormonal drugs involved suppression and regulation of various hormones along with various factors like anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-proliferative and apoptotic, anti-angiogenic, anti-invasive, immunomodulatory, and estrogen modulating activity. However, novel drugs and medicinal plants are also reviewed here to draw attention to the molecules of drugs that target at multiple points for rational therapeutic treatment of endometriosis.
Moringa olifera is a traditional medicinal plant that belongs to family moringaceae. It is also called as "Miracle tree". It is rich in alkaloids, flavonoids, essential amino acids and considered as one of the highly nutritious plants. Moringa olifera a multiuse plant is used as a food and medicinal uses. It has various pharmacological activities such as analgesic, antiinflammatory, antipyretic, anticancer, antioxidant, nootropic, hepatoprotective, gastroprotective, antiulcer, anticancer, antioxidant, hepatoprotective, gastroprotective, cardiovascular, antiobesity, antiasthamatic and antidiarrheal properties. This review is a collective summary of phytochemical, pharmacological activity and therapeutic importance of this medicinal herb. Moringa olifera has numerous medicinal uses and it is used to treat many diseases conditions. The review has focused on various properties of Moringa Olifera and therapeutic importance of moringa olifera and its chemical constituents Moringa oleifera is considered to be one of the beneficial plant which has higher medicinal values. Its various nutritional properties made the people across the world to use for its health benefits. The leaf of moringa is considered to have more effective property in curing many diseases though other parts of Moringa oleifera possess less effective properties. The chemical compound of Moringa leaf has high content when compared to other parts and some chemical compounds are present only in leaf of Moringa. Moringa leaf can be used for various health conditions such as Anaemia, Diabetes, Asthma, Inflammation, and Ulcer, Tumor growth, Microbial growth and Plasmodia (Malaria). Anaemia is one of the threatening disorder which is spread all over the world, anaemia occur due to various conditions in which majority is iron deficiency anaemia due to low iron content in plasma. The decrease in haemoglobin will give rise to anaemic condition. From traditional medicine literature study, IDA can be treated by daily consumption of Moringa leaf syrup. The review work focus on the medicinal uses, chemical composition and effect of Moringa leaf on Iron deficiency anaemia. The Moringa plant has interesting fact that it is used in war as energy drink, historical evidence shows Maurian troops uses Moringa juice as energy drink. It is also named as "Miracle Tree" due to its high medicinal values.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
