The essential oils obtained from the aerial parts of Stachys trinervis Aitch. & Hemsl. and Stachys subaphylla Rech. F. were analysed by using GC and GC-MS. Sixteen compounds representing 95.43 % of S. trinervis oil were identified. The main ones were α-pinene (42.68 %), δ-2-carene (31.90 %), 1,8-cineole (7.03 %), limonene (4.39 %) and (Z)-β-ocimene (4.21 %). Twenty three components accounting for 97.62 % of S. subaphylla oil were identified. The major constituents were δ-2-carene (23.93 %), α-pinene (19.29 %), sabinene (19.11 %), δ-3-carene (9.22 %) and (Z)-βocimene (5.90 %). Both oils were rich in monoterpene hydrocarbons, especially α-pinene and δ-2carene.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
