The atomic mass excesses of ' Zr and ' Mo were determined to be -77.807+0.031 and -72. 703+0.021 MeV from the measured Q values of -40. 136+0.030 and -43.278+0.020 MeV for the Zr(a, He)' Zr(g. s.) and Mo(a, 'He) Mo(g. s.) reactions. The results were compared with some predicted values.
Using a computer-controlled drift apparatus, we have developed lithium-ion drift techniques to produce large-size silicon detectors with a high success rate. Based on the improved techniques, we have made detectors with a 115×25×2 mm3 sensitive volume. The variation of the detector sensitivity has been shown to be homogeneous over the measurement area using 1150 nm infrared light.
A 5 inch diameter, 3mm thick silicon detector has been fabricated using a nondetector grade crystal. The detector characteristics of the silicon detector were examined with infrared light as well as a hadron beam.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
