The article analyzes the noise negative impact of motor transport on people. The existing methods of reducing the noise impact from vehicles are described. The results of field studies of the intensity of traffic flows and measurements of the noise exposure level in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny are presented. A significant excess of the maximum permissible noise level is specified. A possible option for improving the environmental situation on the considered section of the road network due to the installation of noise screens is proposed.
