A 3.3V SoMHz synchronous 16Mb flash memory serves applications where zero-wait-state direct execution is essentialinremoving the performance bottleneck attributed to slow memory in performance (225MHz) systems. This 16Mb flash chip supports continuous burst cycles for code execution, eliminating costly code shadowing from slow nonvolatile memory to DRAM, resulting in improved system performance and lower cost. Architecture and circuit innovations give 2Ons continuous burst and a maximum data transfer rate of lOOMB/s, resulting in a greater than 3x performance improvement over previous 16Mb devices [1,2,31.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
