Author Abstract: JST provides the scientific, technological and medical databases such as JSTPlus, JMEDPlus on JDream II (JST Document REtrieval system for Academic and Medical fields II). These databases produced by JST are created with the use of NAISS (New Abstracting and Indexing Support System). NAISS contains the various types of dictionaries for the purpose of improving efficient indexing and ensuring their quality. Also, the same dictionaries are available in searching in JDream II. This paper shows the overview of NAISS and the actual indexing methods with the dictionaries.
