The formation of latent radiation image was inwstigated by the method of statistic siniiation of process of ganwna radiation interaction with gas discharge converter.The process of gamma quanta interaction with input electrode was simulated, then ii observed the paths of electrons coming out into gas and radial distribution of energy losses in gas . This permitted to determine the dependence of registration efficiency, intrinsic unshar-pness aI dose sens itivity on bremsstrah lung boundary energy 10-100 P1eV.Experiments gave dose and frequency-contrast characteristics of gas discharge converter which have good agreement with calculation results.
