The underground parts of Ferula tadshikorum M. Pimen were collected from the southern part of Tajikistan. The essential oils were obtained by hydrodistillation and analyzed by GLC-FID and GLC-MS. A total of 26 compounds were identified representing 94.4 % of total oil composition. The essential oil was dominated by the sulfur-containing compounds (Z)-1-propenyl sec-butyl disulfide (37. 3%), (E)-1-propenyl secbutyl disulfide (29.9%), (E)-1-propenyl 1-(methylthio)propyl disulfide (16.8%), and propyl sec-butyl disulfide (4.8%). The antioxidant, antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities of the essential oil was evaluated. To our best knowledge, this is the first report concerning the chemical composition and biological activity of the essential oil obtained from the underground parts of F. tadshikorum.
There are problems people don’t want to talk about, and one of them is incontinence in adults. This is a fairly common and delicate problem. It negatively affects human life. This most often applies to people with disabilities and bedridden patients. People have to change their usual way of life, give up their favorite activities, there is a constant need to stay at home. Walking, attending events are difficult. All this has a corresponding effect on the psychological health of a person. In such a situation, it is advisable to use diapers for adults. This is a modern hygienic product that is intended to make life easier for people suffering from various forms of incontinence. Diapers are similar in shape to baby diapers, but they are adapted to the size of an adult. This is a great option for the care of patients who are bedfast or in a wheelchair.
The diabetes is one of the most pressing medical and social problems in the health care system of most countries, including Tajikistan. According to experts from the International Health Organization, this disease is a problem for all segments of the population and age groups. In this regard, the modernization of the price regulation system in order to provide consumers with highly effective, harmless and affordable antidiabetic drugs is an urgent task of the health care and public protection system of the Republic of Tajikistan. The aim of the work is to study the range of drugs registered in the Republic of Tajikistan for the treatment of diabetes. The object of the study were scientific sources, statistics, price indicators, official websites of authorized publications on registered medicines. The research was conducted using methods of analysis, systematization and generalization, mathematical and statistical calculations. The range of oral hypoglycemic drugs presented on the pharmaceutical market of the Republic of Tajikistan was studied and the analysis of the pharmaceutical market of oral antidiabetic drugs by countries-manufacturers, dosage forms, groups of anatomical-therapeutic-chemical (ATC) classification was carried out. On March 1, 2021, 70 trade names of oral hypoglycemic drugs were registered. The range of drugs is mainly represented by drugs from the group of sulfanylurea derivatives (21 trade names of drugs or 30% of the total number of drugs in this group), as well as drugs from the group of biguanide derivatives (17 trade names of drugs or 24.28% of their total quantity). In the structure of deliveries of oral hypoglycemic drugs the leading positions are occupied by India – 31.25% (15 LP), Pakistan – 22.91% (11 LP), Ukraine – 14.58% (7 LP), Belarus and Germany – 6.25% each. (3 LP each). Registered 8 names of insulin preparations for injection in the form of vials (5 ml and 10 ml) and cartridges made in Ukraine («Farmak», «Indar») and India («Wockhardt Limited») and in pre-filled syringe pens produced by the company «Indar», Ukraine.
The prevalence of acute respiratory diseases, the particular severity of their course, as well as the frequent relapses and complications require constant search for new, more effective and safe medicines for their prevention and treatment and introduction of these drugs into clinical practice. Generally, most of the medications used in the treatment of acute respiratory viral infections have a number of side effects. Currently, one of the promising areas of pharmacy is the study of biologically active substances, the medicinal plant raw material, and production of extracts and herbal medicines based on them. Objective – pharmaceutical development of a scientifically based composition, technology for obtaining anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial tablets developed on the basis of a selected and standardized plant substance-a thick extract of the leaves of sage nutmeg, which grows in Tajikistan. When solving the task used the methods of evaluating the technological properties of LRS, physico-chemical properties of plant extracts, physical and technological properties of the mass for tabletting, pharmaco-technological tests of the developed tabletsa study of quantitative content of biologically active substances was determined by Pharmacopoeia methods. The developed solid dosage form with thick extract of sage leaves can be registered as a medicinal product, and the developed technology of tablets with thick extract of sage leaves can be of interest to manufacturers of medicinal products from plant raw materials. The developed methods can be used in laboratories for the detection and quantitative determination of BAS in plant raw materials of Clary sage leaves and medicinal products from this LRS. Thus, based on the results of pharmacological and technological research, we have developed a technology for obtaining a thick extract of sage nutmeg and tablets based on it for the treatment of otolaryngological diseases, which in turn is of interest for further research of the developed drug and its introduction into production.
Prunella vulgaris L. (PV) is a well-known renewable drug resource full of different groups of biologically active substances with a wide range of pharmacological actions and applications in medicine. In this review, we present an updated comprehensive overview of the botany, extracting methods, chemical composition, and pharmacological activity of different parts of PV extracts. As a result of this review, it was found that chemical composition of PV depends on various factors ranging from the part of the plant to the method of extraction. We also highlight extraction methods that have not been previously used for obtaining PV extracts and may have high scientific interest. With this review, we hope to guide present and future professionals and provide possible previously unexplored areas to find new solutions associated with PV plant.
