Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the risk of physical home sanitation against acute respiratory infections in children under five in Labuan Regency, Central Sulawesi. Method: This study was done in Labuan District, Donggala Regency, from July 31 to October 28, 2021, as an observational study with a Case Control Study technique. All children under the age of five who have ARI in the Labuan Health Center Work Area, Labuan District, Donggala Regency, are included in the study. The research was approved by the Makassar Ministry of Health Poltekkes Ethics Committee Number 1068/KEPK-PTKMKS/IX/2020 on the basis of its ethical feasibility. Results: The physical sanitation condition of the house that does not meet the requirements for dust content is 52.9%. Home ventilation 58.6%. The lighting conditions are 47.1% and the humidity of the house is 35.7%. Bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between dust levels and the incidence of ARI (p=0.000), ventilation conditions with the incidence of ARI (p=0.000), lighting with the incidence of ARI (p=0.001) and humidity with the incidence of ARI (p=0.005) in children. in Labuan District, Donggala Regency. The incidence of ARI is more common in children aged 0-2 years, and the incidence of ARI has no difference between male and female sexes. Multivariate analysis showed that dust content (p=0.000 CI95% OR=9.56) and ventilation (p=0.001 CI95% OR=6.08) were the main variables that caused ARI in children in Labuan District, Donggala Regency. Conclusion: The main variables causing ARI in children in Labuan District, Donggala Regency are dust content (OR = 9.56) and ventilation (OR = 6.08)
The Healthy Community Movement (Germas) is a systematic and planned action that is carried out jointly by all components of the nation with awareness, willingness and ability to behave in a healthy manner to improve the quality of life. The purpose of community service is the socialization of healthy community movement in the era of adaptation to new habits of Covid-19 in collaboration with the Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu with Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Amurang, South Minahasa, North Sulawesi. The Participatory Action Research activity method is in the form of socialization and education based on theory and practice related to proper and proper hand washing, proper and proper use of masks, distribution of masks, hand sanitizers and soap and COVID-19 vaccination. The Healthy Community Movement socialization presented resource person Felly Estelita Runtuwene, SE Chair of Commission IX DPR RI in Amurang, South Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi, Monday, October 23, 2021. The participants were 200 people from the South Minahasa community, North Sulawesi Province. After the socialization activity, participants understood Germas better during the Covid-19 period. Tujuan Pengabdian masyarakat adalah sosialisasi Germas di era adaptasi kebiasaan baru Covid-19 kerjasama Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu dengan Komisi IX DPR RI di Amurang Minahasa Selatan Sulawesi Utara. Metode kegiatan Participatory Action Research berupa sosialisasi dan edukasi berbasis teori dan praktik terkait cara mencuci tangan yang baik dan benar, cara memakai masker yang baik dan benar, pembagian masker, hand sanitizer dan sabun serta vaksinasi covid-19. Sosialisasi Germas menghadirkan narasumber Felly Estelita Runtuwene, SE Ketua Komisi IX DPR RI di Amurang Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan Sulawesi Utara pada Senin 23 Oktober 2021. Peserta sebanyak 200 orang berasal dari masyarakat Minahasa Selatan Provinsi Sulawesi Utara. Setelah kegiatan sosialisasi, peserta semakin memahami Germas di masa Covid-19. Pelaksanaan Sosialisasi Germas di Era Adaptasi Kebiasaan Baru Covid-19 Kerjasama Poltekkes Kemenkes Palu dengan Komisi IX DPR RI di Amurang Minahasa Selatan Sulawesi Utara berjalan dengan baik dan capaian kesehatan masyarakat meningkat.
Background: Women use the Internet more often to access health information than men. Objective: This study aims to analyze the socio-demographic effect on women's access to health information via the Internet in Indonesia. Methods: This study uses data from the 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS). The sample include 19,389 women aged 15-54 years. The independent variables include age, education, working status, ownership index, type and area of residence. The dependent variable is the use of the internet to access health information. Data analysis with Chi-Square and binary logistics using the Stata application version 15.1. Results: Education level, age, wealth index, working status, type and area of residence were found to influence the behavior of Indonesian women in searching for health information through the Internet. Health information is sought more frequently by women who are younger, highly educated than older people and by those who have higher levels of wealth and status as working women. In addition, the search for health information is more often carried out in urban areas than in rural areas, and more in western Indonesia than in eastern Indonesia. Conclusion: Access to health information by Indonesian women on the Internet is influenced by various socio-demographic factors, taking into account sociodemographic characteristics and differences, all women should have equal access to reliable health information
