The problem of a color-charged point particle interacting with a four dimensional Yang-Mills gauge theory is revisited. The radiation damping is obtained inspired in the Dirac's computation. The difficulties in the non-abelian case were solved by using an ansatz for the Liénard-Wiechert potentials, already used in the literature [37] for finding solutions to the Yang-Mills equations. Three nontrivial examples of radiation damping for the non-abelian particle are discussed in detail.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
