The benzoguanamine-based nickel complex was prepared, characterized by several methods and its biological (anti-bacterial, anti-cancer and anti-oxidant) activities were investigated. Also, the benzoguanamine-based nickel complex was used as a capable heterogeneous nano-catalyst for the synthesis of diverse 2-phenyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazoles from the reaction of o-phenylenediamine (PhenDA) with various aldehydes in chloroform at reflux conditions.
