This study aims to analyze the improvement of the operational performance of Indonesia’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport train through service quality which is mediated by train passenger loyalty and passenger satisfaction. The main problems in this study are the use of the same railway for long-distance train, airport train, and commuter Line train, the limited use of airport railway with four schedules, the headway which becomes 30 minutes since the number of travels becomes 82 trips, and the tariff being applied now is considered as burdening the passengers. The research method uses a quantitative analysis approach with the technique of Structural Equation Modeling-Lisrel. Data collection is done through observation and questionnaire distribution. The respondents are 306 passengers of trains heading for Soekarno-Hatta Airport. The benefit of this study for the domestic railway company is that by improving service quality, passenger loyalty and satisfaction, it will improve the operational performance of airport trains. The result of this research indicates the significant influence of service quality variable on passenger loyalty through passenger satisfaction, the significant influence of service quality variable on operational performance through passenger satisfaction and passenger loyalty as well as the significant influence of passenger satisfaction variable on operational performance through passenger loyalty.
This study aims to analyze the queuing system, service performance, and utilization of the two runways at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Indonesia. The number of aircraft movements at the airport at busy hours exceeds capacity, resulting in long queues. This study uses a quantitative approach and queuing theory with a single server multi-channel queuing system. Discussion of runway service performance at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, by calculating the Queuing System State Probalilities to determine the probability of n units (arrivals) in the system. Five equations have been analyzed in order to Evaluation of the Two Runway Queue System. The findings of this study provide a signal for optimizing airport operator runway utilization by developing runway capacity and adding infrastructure as well as adding taxiways, aprons, and runways. The increase in runway capacity will have an impact on more aircraft services, which also means more effective and efficient runway utilization. To improve the queuing system, it is necessary to improve queuing system services with regular training of directly related officers so that the queuing system can be more effective and efficient. To improve the performance of runway services, it is necessary to increase the capacity of the navigation tools currently owned.
At this era of globalization, air transport is at its peak. The purpose of this research is to review how airline in Indonesia able to survive for the sustainable air transport, therefore the potentials can be identified to develop by the airline in the future constantly. The focus of this research is to find out how strength the aviation industry in order to survive in this cannibalism market. The researchers focuse on Garuda Indonesia airline. The method of the research was descriptive qualitative with SWOT analysis. Data sources used primary data and secondary data. Primary data sources were taken from interview, while secondary data used existing theories such as articles, journals, website, and other documents related to the research problem. This study concludes that with the ASEAN open sky, cannibalism in the aviation industry is increasingly tight. Therefore, Indonesia should maintain sustainable transportation, in this case the airline, that can be equal with other ASEAN airlines.
The purpose of this study is to assess the human resources sectors of transport, telecommunications and tourism in a global perspective. This study is a literature study with descriptive analysis method to describe the existing problems and provide recommendations to anticipate the world’s rapidly growing trend. The results show that the increasing mastery of foreign languages and technology has become an absolute requirement that Indonesian human resources can compete on a global level. However, the state, business, and society must work together in forming a mental attitude, promote an understanding of the religion, and raise the nation ideology since early stage so that it can minimize the negative impacts of globalization.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
