Moisturizer is a cosmetic that plays a role in hydrating the skin. Bean fruit (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) contains secondary metabolites in the form of alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, tannins and vitamin C. This study aims to determine the bean fruit (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) in the form of ethanol extract can be formulated into lotion preparations at a certain concentration Moisturizing and non-irritating to the skin. The research was conducted by experimental method using the test material of chickpeas (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) which was processed by maceration using 96% ethanol solvent, formulated into lotion preparations (1.5%; 2%; and 2.5%) and then tested the quality. preparations and compared with preparations on the market. The results showed that the green beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) in the form of ethanol extract could be formulated into a lotion dosage form, was a homogeneous and stable preparation with an oil-in-water (W/A) emulsion type, had a pH range after 12 days (Cycling test). ) ie 5.8-6.1. The moisture effectiveness test at a concentration of 2.5% (F3) is the best preparation that has a humidity of 44.72% including the "moist" category. Hedonic test on F2 volunteers (2%) with the "Like" category is the most preferred preparation . All lotion preparations with ethanol extract from green beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) did not cause skin irritation.
Obat adalah barang atau zat yang dapat digunakan untuk mengobati penyakit, meredakan gejala, atau mengubah proses kimiawi dalam tubuh. Hampir setiap rumah tangga menyimpan obat. Obat-obatan yang dijual bebas yang dibeli di toko obat, apotek, atau tanpa resep dokter biasanya disimpan di rumah. Tidak semua obat yang diperoleh tanpa resep dokter maupun dengan resep dokter akan habis sekali diminum, selebihnya akan disimpan dirumah oleh masyarakat. DAGUSIBU merupakan akronim dari Dapatkan, Gunakan, Simpan dan Buang yang bertujuan untuk membantu masyarakat lebih memahami tentang budaya sadar obat saat digunakan dan disimpan dirumah. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah sosialisasi dan edukasi kepada masyarakat akan pentingnya budaya sadar obat dengan implementasi DAGUSIBU. Metode pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan berbentuk empiris atau pendekatan melalui sosialisasi dan edukasi dengan membagikan brosur terkait DAGUSIBU. Hasil yang didapatkan pada kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman yang baik dari beberapa masyarakat sekitar lapangan merdeka binjai mengenai pentingnya budaya sadar obat dengan memahami DAGUSIBU serta memahami peran dari apoteker sebagai tempat untuk konsultasi terkait masalah obat. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan yang telah dilakukan adalah memberikan pemahaman kepada beberapa masyarakat khususnya masyarakat kota Binjai bagaimana mendapatkan obat, menggunakan obat, menyimpan obat membuang obat yang sudah rusak atau kadalurasa. Semua dilakukan dengan tepat dan benar sesuai ketentuan perundang-undangan farmasi yang berlaku.

In connection with this, I as a representative of the Tjut Nyak Dhien University College as well as the IAI Medan City branch manager through the community service and disaster response team participated in holding these activities in several schools, one of which was SMA Negeri 16 Medan. The purpose of this activity is to introduce the pharmacist profession to SMA Negeri 16 students in the form of educational levels to achieve the pharmacist profession, the duties and responsibilities of pharmacists, the work fields of the pharmacist profession, the job prospects of the pharmacist profession in the future and the role of pharmacists in society, one of which is contained in community service activities through counseling activities branding the pharmacist profession and education related to diabetes.
The more incessantly the motto "back to nature" various types of plants in Indonesia are used by the community as traditional medicine. Kecibeling plants, salam and meniran herbs are one of the traditional medicinal ingredients that are often used. The potential development of the combination of kecibeling leaves, bay leaves and meniran herbs was chosen as a tea bag preparation because it is simple, cheap, and practical. The purpose of this study was to formulate a combination of kecibeling leaves, salam and meniran herbs as an antioxidant. This research was conducted by collecting fresh leaves of the kecibeling plant, salam and meniran herbs from Pematangsiantar, then used as simplicia and then formulated in teabags with varying weights. Then the formula is tested for characteristics which include water content test, pH test of the preparation, organoleptic test including hedonic test and antioxidant activity test.The results of testing the water content in each formula are 3.72%; 5.07% and 6.81%. The results of the pH test of teabag preparations from each formula were 6.7-7.Based on the results of the Hedonic test, Formula II with a weight of 0.95g was preferred by the panelists, so it was continued to be tested for activity as an antioxidant. The results of the antioxidant activity test showed that in Formula II (0.95 g) has antioxidant activity with the category "Medium".
Teh kombucha merupakan tinggi antioksidan dan mampu membantu menurunkan kadar trigliserida dengan cara meningkatkan aktivitas enzim lipoprotein lipase yang dapat bekerja memecah trigliserida. Studi sebelumnya mengatakan bahwa daun jati belanda (Guazuma ukmifolia, Lamrk) mampu menurunkan kadar lipid darah karena kandungan tanin dan mucilago yang mampu mengurangi absorpsi lemak. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efek pemberian teh kombucha daun jati belanda mampu menurunkan angka trigliserida (TGD) darah tikus putih jantan. Metode penelitian ini berupa eksperimental meliputi pengumpulan bahan, pembuatan simplisia, skrining fitokimia, fermentasi kombucha daun jati belanda, evaluasi mutu sediaan, pengujian kadar trigliserida pada tikus dengan teknik Elektrode-Based Biosensor. Penelitian ini dibagi menjadi 5 (lima) kelompok yaitu: P1; P2; P3, P4 dan P5, pemberian obat dan dilakukan secara oral kepada 25 ekor tikus yang telah diinduksi menggunakan kuning telur 80% dan propiniltiourasil (PTU 0,2%). Penelitian ini dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu kontrol positif simvastatin 0,025% diberikan sebanyak 1,44 ml (P1); kontrol negatif kombucha tanpa sampel (blanko) diberikan sebanyak 3,6 ml (P2); kelompok perlakuan teh kombucha daun jati belanda berturut-turut 100 ml/gBB diberikan sebanyak 1,8 ml (P3); 150 ml/gBB diberikan sebanyak 2,7 ml (P4); 200 ml/gBB diberikan sebanyak 3,6 ml (P5). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada kelompok perlakuan 200 ml (P5) pada hari ke-7 sampai hari ke-15 terjadi penurunan angka TGD dari 246,8 mg/dL menjadi 93 ml/dL dengan persentase penurunan trigliserida diperoleh 37,68%, dimana hasil ini mendekati angka kontrol positif (P1) dari 238,6 mg/dL menjadi 84 mg/dL dengan persentase penurunan trigliserida diperoleh 35,20%. Pada pengujian kadar trigliserida pada kelompok percobaan, didapatkan hasil yang berbeda pada tiap kelompok percobaan. Hasil pengujian kadar trigliserida yang di dapatkan, selanjutnya dilakukan uji statistika berupa non parametrik dengan menggunakan metode khurskal wallis, dari hasil pengujian didapatkan hasil p=0.098 (p=0,05) yang menunjukan bahwa data terdistribusi secara normal
