Conclusion: The study allowed the demonstration of the importance of the clinical pharmacist active in the Emergency Department. By the classification and by the number of interventions carried out, it was possible to observe that the Clinical Pharmacy Service had a great impact on the increased safety for the patient and prevention of adverse events.
Clinical pharmacy service shows a positive impact when it comes to performed interventions. It also promotes a rational use of medicines and increase patient safety. Pharmacists were included and their importance confirmed within the multidisciplinary team and in the process of patient safety.
