Transition metal complexes of 5-bromosalicylidene-4-amino-3-
mercapto-1,2,4-triazine-5-one with metal precursors, such as Cu(II), Ni(II),
Co(II) and Pd(II), were synthesized and characterized by physicochemical and
spectroscopic techniques. All the complexes are of the ML type. Based on
analytical, spectral data and magnetic moments, the Co(II) and Ni(II)
complexes were assigned octahedral geometries, while the Cu (II) and Pd(II)
complexes square planar. A study on the catalytic oxidation of benzyl
alcohol, cyclohexanol, cinnamyl alcohol, 2-propanol and 2- methyl-1-propanol
was performed with N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide (NMO) and molecular oxygen as
co-oxidants. All the complexes and their parent organic moiety were screened
for their biological activity on several pathogenic bacteria and were found
to possess appreciable bactericidal properties.
Effective Oxidation of Alcohols by Iron(III)-Schiff Base-TriphenylphosphineComplexes. -The iron complexes (I) are found to be useful catalysts for the title process. Generally, a slightly higher yield is obtained with derivative (Ia). -(RANI, S.; BHAT*, B. R.; Tetrahedron Lett. 51 (2010) 49, 6403-6405, http://dx.
This project aims to characterize the municipal solid waste leachate, using column study method to evaluate the concentrations of constituents present in landfill leachate. The leachate sample were tested for several physical and chemical parameters. The initial results demonstrated that the characterizations of leachate found to be highest range of contamination. Hence compacted clay liner is used in this treatment. Moringa Oleifera is added with compacted natural clay to retain the constituents in the liner. Compacted natural clay liner shows the removal efficiency of TDS, Sodium and Potassium is 88.44%, 90.6% and 68.46% respectively. Moringa Oleifera with Compacted natural clay liner shows the removal efficiency of TDS, Sodium and Potassium is 90.2%, 98.75% and 81.2% respectively. Result shows Moringa Oleifera with Compacted clay liner has been an effective for the removal of constitutes present in landfill leachate.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
