The aim of this research is to gain the perception of students and lecturers toward academic writing instruction Indonesian language classes in Universitas Sriwijaya. This current research was a part of research and development study on Moodle-based teaching model for academic writing instruction in Indonesian language classes. The steps of research and development model was carried out using survey and content analysis. The research was conducted in Universitas Sriwijaya. Questionnaire, interview and focus-group discussion (FGD) were instruments to collect data. Meanwhile, both quantitative and qualitative data analysis was used to analyze the collected data. After analyzing data from questionnaire, both students and lecturers perceived that academic writing instruction in Indonesian language classes are good and proper. However, the data from interview and FGD showed that there were different views between students and lecturers regarding to academic writing instruction in Indonesian language classes.Keywords: perception, instruction, academic writing
This study aimed to find out the implementation of teacher education training programs held by FTTE in preparing teacher training and education in the 21 ST century concerning student recruitment, curriculums, teacher students' perception, and challenges the faculty had. The four questions referred to critical thinking skill, collaboration skill, communication skill, and using technology as a tool for learning. The data were obtained through documentation and survey questionnaire. The results of the study showed that there were three systems of recruiting the students, namely National Entrance Selection for State University, National Joint Entrance Selection for Public University, and Public University Entrance Examination. The critical thinking was perceived as vital and essential as it is needed in the workplace. The student respondents seemed not to do it very frequently. In analysing complex problems, investigating questions, evaluating different points of view or sources of information, and drawing appropriate conclusions almost 40% of the samples applied their critical thinking skills. Many applied their collaboration skill such as working in pairs or small groups to complete a task together, setting goals and creating a plan for their team, creating joint products using contributions from each student, presenting their group work to the class, teacher or others. In communication skills, there were three highest answers recorded, namely created charts, tables or graphs, answering questions in front of an audience, and using media other than a written paper such as posters, video, blogs. On the average, 49.85% did the skills. Using technology as a tool for learning was applied by 43%. Statistically descriptive, most respondents used social networking services, web search engines, and presentation applications as the three highest skills; they perceived as their excellent skills since they dealt with Facebook, Google search, and MS Power Point application.
Writing ability is expected to be achieved by all students because it dramatically affects academic achievement. However, some students have poor writing skills. The purpose of this study was to analyze data on student and lecturer perceptions of the use of media/multimedia in academic writing for Indonesian language courses. This type of research is development. Data collection methods in analyzing objective situations are questionnaires, interviews, and focus group discussions (FGD). The instruments used in collecting data are questionnaires and interview sheets. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The research results are that students and lecturers feel that teaching and learning academic writing in Indonesian language courses do not apply interactive multimedia. Most of the teaching sessions use PowerPoint presentation slides and course books. Furthermore, they hope to use interactive multimedia in academic learning so that the sessions will be more exciting and engaging, not dull, use animations and videos, and can be accessed anytime, anywhere.
This study aims to find out how the learning model of moodle-based academic writing in Indonesian subjects required by students at Sriwijaya University in terms of students and lecturers. The method used in this study is research and development (Research and Development as proposed by Borg and Gall.Teknik data collection in the analysis of this need is a questionnaire, library review, interviews, and focus group discussion.The results show first, an instructional model of academic writing in the Moodle-based Indonesian language should refer to the Signs of Group Work Subjects Personality development in universities, the principle -The principle of learning based on KKNI, the principle of learning to write, and the principle of learning E-Learning.Second, the results showed that the shortcomings contained in the learning of academic writing in Indonesian language courses caused this lesson does not refer to Student Group Conduct Signs Personality development in universities, principles of learning based on KKNI, and the principle of learning to write maximally In addition, most lecturers do not use E-Learning learning that has been facilitated by the university. Third, the results of the study show that the learning model of academic writing in Indonesian language is needed is a learning model that applies the principles of learning in accordance with KKNI, the principles of learning to write, and the principles of E-Learning learning by adapting to the characteristics of the language courses Indonesia for college. Meanwhile, Rambu-Rambu Group Implementation Course Development of personality in universities must be adjusted in order to meet the needs of students in academic writing learning in universities.

Artikel ini adalah bagian dari riset pengembangan dengan tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan multimedia interaktif pembelajaran menulis akademik berbasis MOODLE pada mata kuliah bahasa Indonesi di Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan sesuai teori Borg dan Gall serta teori Lee and Owens. Artikel yang merupakan bagian dari riset penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi pengguna (mahasiswa) terhadap multimedia interaktif pada pembelajaran menulis akademik berbasis MOODLE di Universitas Sriwijaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Delpi. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa multimedia interaktif pada pembelajaran menulis akademik berbasis MOODLE dipersepsikan sangat baik jika ditinjau dari segi isi materi, bahasa, penyajian multimedia interaktif, dan E-Learning MOODLE.
