One of the most important global challenges is the eradication of gender inequality, an indicator that is constantly evaluated, and for which the countries of the world have developed public policies aimed at increasing the levels of equity in the population. The present investigation was carried out in the city of Machala, and for which it was proposed as an objective to establish the participation of women and men in agribusiness in the trade sector of agricultural inputs and veterinary services and their characteristics and as hypotheses that in the agribusiness in the sector of agricultural inputs and veterinary services, there is a great gender inequity, which is sought to scale; for its realization was taken the information of the national cadastre of agribusiness registered in Agrocalidad in the sector of agricultural inputs and veterinary services, which are a total of 75, of these, 35 were surveyed to determine the degree of equity and participation of the woman; the variables analyzed were the university academic degree of the local owners, the age and the reason to undertake. The data were analyzed using the chi-square test and using the statistical program SPSS 20. The results obtained demonstrate the low participation of women in this economic sector of the city of Machala. El agua subterránea es un recurso limitada con una alta vulnerabilidad a factores naturales o antropogénicos que pueden alterar sus atributos físicos, químicos y biológicos; y transformar este recurso en no apto para las actividades humanas incluido la agricultura. Aspecto que motivó la investigación, y tuvo como objetivo evaluar las aguas subterráneas de la parroquia La Peaña, en la provincia de El Oro (Ecuador). Para esto, se delimitaron 22 pozos ubicados en varias fincas bananeras, donde se tomaron muestras para determinar las propiedades color y olor; así como el pH, la conductividad eléctrica y la temperatura. También se delimito 10 submuestras a las que se realizaron análisis biológicos de coliformes totales, Escherichia coli y de los metales pesados: Hg. Pb. As. Cd y Mn. Los resultados mostraron un color transparente y sin olor en más del 80% de los pozos. El rango del pH 7.28-8.27 mostró una tendencia hacia la alcalinidad, con ligera presencia de salinidad por su baja CE (rango, 0.17-0.39 mS m). Las bacterias coliformes estuvieron en seis pozos con niveles sobre los 30 UFC ml-1). Los metales Hg, Pb, As y Cd obtuvieron medias de 0.29 ug l-1, 5 ugl-1; 10.00 ug l-1 y 0.80 ug l-1, respetivamente, mientras que el Mn mostró la mayor variabilidad con rango de 0.06-1240 ug l-1. Se recomienda no utilizar el agua con niveles altos de coliformes totales en el proceso de poscosecha del banano.
