SummaryObjective: To determine the presence of Burnout Syndrome and its relation to family functioning in the medical and infirmary personnel of the medical specialty center in Tabasco, ISSET. Method: An observationa, transversal and analytical study was done. It was used a Malach Burnout Inventory questionnaire of 22 items and the FF-SIL with 14 items. The universe of study were about 458 health care workers, the sample was of n=201. The package SPSS model 18.0, descriptive and inferential statistic, expressed in tables and graphs.
