Ing Hustopeče 17.-19. 6. 2015 18 ÚVOD Vážení regionalisté, právě otevíráte sborník příspěvků z každoročně konaného setkání výzkumníků, akademiků, praktiků, úředníků a dalších odborníků zabývajících se tématy, jejichž společným jmenovatelem je regionální problematika. Jednotlivé texty autorů z Česka, Slovenska a Polska reprezentují širokou paletu přístupů ke zkoumání procesů a jevů v území a nabízejí rozličné metodické přístupy k jejich analýze a způsobu řešení. Jelikož se jedná o sborník předkonferenční, nelze na tomto místě zprostředkovat bezprostřední emoce, které prezentace příspěvků a následná diskuze přinesly. To však jistě není potřebné, neboť si při studiu kvalitních odborných textů jistě utvoříte vlastní názor. Je pravděpodobné, že mnohé myšlenky poslouží jako inspirace k dalšímu výzkumu, k případné spolupráci, či formulaci odlišných závěrů, návrhů či doporučení. Jsme samozřejmě velmi rádi, že obliba našeho kolokvia neklesá a že si mnozí z jejich účastníků červnový termín již rutinně rezervují. Je to důkazem toho, že se nám daří vytvářet významný prostor pro vysoce kvalifikovanou diskuzi, která je všeobecně obohacující a přínosná. The main goal of the paper is to focus on relationship between business cycle under regional entrepreneurial culture. Many of the trends found were less than positive, although there were some new positive trends that could be identifi ed as a source of sustainability in the area of the connection between the sector of small and medium sized enterprises and the local entrepreneurship environment as well as a source of entrepreneurial culture. Moreover, the frequency of co-operational activities with local government was investigated. Questionnaire-based research was undertaken within 194 organizations of various legal forms operating in the area of the Moravian-Silesian Region. The main factors, which had an infl uence on their current business stage (49.5% in the growth stage, 9.8% in stagnation, 31.96% in decline and the other 0.52% in crisis), were the locality in the region, the quality of the labour force, cooperation with local public bodies and the business relationships between suppliers. Finally, we have defi ned the current stage of the entrepreneurial culture as the "Sandbox".

This article deals with the results of two independent primary research studies in the field of the reinvestment activities of companies aimed at supporting employee education and training. Attention is focused on the reinvestment activities of companies and the direction of investment funds to individual areas with an emphasis on employee education and training. The article compares the situation before and after the first wave of the Corona crisis in the Czech Republic. Information on the structure and volume of corporate reinvestment is presented, as is information on reinvestment in employee development through selected training methods. The chi-square test was used for statistical analyses.
