In the developing countries, the government has a vital role in supporting the development of SME’s as one of economic pillars. There are studies which state that the government has played an active role in supporting the development of SME’s, either from policy or implementation, but several studies argue that government failure in supporting and creating business climate has caused business stagnation for SME’s. This study aims to analyze the coherence between government policy through Regional Superior Products development (under OVOP) program with SME’s main product choice in Central Java province. The analysis using analytic hierarchy process (AHP), on the data collected through focus group discussion (FGD), questionnaire, and secondary data. The result of this study shows weak evidence that there is coherence between government program and SME’s/ SME’s main product choice, there are only 6 districts/cities that have coherence SME’s: Grobogan district, Blora, Rembang, Magelang (city), Brebes, and Banjarnegara, while the rest districts/cities have no coherence between SME’s and government policy. Supply side policy, volume orientation, partial support, and several other factors are the cause of in-coherence. The implication of this finding is that there is a need of evaluation, downstream policy, business link (including education field) that support SME’s will develop.
The Covid-19 outbreak has forced various organizations to adjust work designs to comply with health protocols. Flexible work arrangement is a model that is widely used, including flextime and work from home. This study analyzes the impact of flexible work arrangements on affective commitment, job satisfaction, organizational citizenship behavior, and work engagement, which lead to employee happiness. A total of 405 respondents who work in local governments in Indonesia participated in an online survey using the snowball sampling technique. Data were analyzed using partial least squares. This study found a significant effect of flexible work arrangements on affective commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. It means that employees perceive a flexible work arrangement policy as an organizational effort to protect employees from Covid-19. Thus, it makes employees showing their affective commitment and willingness to have organizational citizenship behavior. In addition, job satisfaction, organizational citizenship behavior, and work engagement have been shown to affect employee happiness. This finding has implications for leaders to develop flexible work arrangements as alternative work designs, especially during times of crises such as a pandemic. Further research recommendations are emphasized to examine other flexible work arrangements according to contextual needs.
This study aims to examine the effect of knowledge transfer on sustainability in the agricultural sector in Boyolali district and examine the effect of network strength as a moderating variable in the influence of knowledge transfer on economic sustainability. The data were conducted through a survey using a questionnaire with purposive sampling to 119 heads of farmer group cooperatives in Boyolali district, with a questionnaire level of 98 percent. This study applied a hierarchcal regression to test the research model used. The results show that knowledge transfer has significant influence on economic sustainability in the agricultural sector. Finding knowledge in the context of the agricultural sector in Boyolali district has a relationship that is not in line with economic sustainability. While knowledge sharing carried out positively affects on economic sustainability. The power of knowledge sharing in influencing sustainability is largely determined by the strength of the network they have.
