Comparable glycemic control could be achieved with both insulin and oral hypoglycemic agent in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes subjects. Insulin treatment exceeded gliclazide in the remission (drug-free) rate.
Neurogenic tumors of the larynx are extremely rare. Here, we are reporting a case of laryngeal schwannoma presenting as supraglottic submucosal lesion with hoarseness and stridor, which was excised by lateral pharyngotomy approach. This presentation is to further discuss the histology of neurogenic tumors, modes of presentation, differential diagnosis and treatment modalities.
Puberphonia is a psychogenic voice disorder; so far the treatment for this one is speech therapy. Even though there is no organic lesion, surgical treatment holds good for the resistant cases who does not improve with speech therapy. Here, we are sharing our experience of 7 cases with proper preoperative and postoperative voice analysis.
