Advancement of economic growth and medical science contribute to increase the numbers of disabled and elderly people, and also there is growing the social interest regarding welfare of handicapped people. In previous studies, attempts have been made to improve clothing designs for handicapped people. However, they still have difficulties with selection of ready to wear garments. It is required that a classification system can be used to suggest clothing designs for handicapped considering their special needs. Handicapped person can acquire independence and confidence by wearing clothing themselves. The purpose of this study was that helps handicapped people by suggesting suitable designs of upper garments, when they purchase clothing.
