Dental caries is one of the most common chronic diseases and when appropriate maintenance do not performed, this process results in the loss of the teeth. Nowadays, studies at dentistry focused on preventive strategies and reversal of this process with diagnosing on early stages, more than treating caries. Various new alternative materials that used preventing dental caries and providing remineralisation are being investigated, as well as obteined successful results with the use of these materials, there are some limitations such as possible toxic effects, cannot be used safely in all age groups. Most of these Technologies are yet at the stage of preliminary work, much more studies on this issues is needed to develop a more ideal method.
