ChemInform Abstract Sintering of a KSr2Nb5O15 powder compact at 1350 rc C results in a duplex structure. The abnormal grain growth responsible for the duplex structure can be suppressed by prefiring at 1200-1300 rc C. The Curie temp. and the dielectric constant both depend on the microstructure, which is explained by the formation of internal stress (increasing the dielectric constant in the case of uniform microstructures) and cracks (reducing the dielectric constant for duplex structures).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
