We describe the K -ring of the classifying space of the generalized quaternion group in terms of generators and the minimal set of relations. We also compute the order of the main generator in the truncated rings.
Original scientific paperThe amount of energy used in buildings has a significant share in total energy consumption both in our country and globally. Considering the use of exhaustible energy resources, environmental pollution resulting from this use, and economic factors necessitates an energy-efficient architectural design at the point of ensuring comfort conditions. Energy efficient building design aims to provide energy conservation by using parameters such as environmental climate, direction, prevailing wind, and increasing the performance of buildings in heating-cooling-ventilation and natural lighting by using active / passive methods. Traditional buildings provide the desired comfort levels with passive design methods without the need for comprehensive heating, cooling, lighting, etc. system support. This study aims to reveal experiences that can be a reference to new building designs through a traditional building example in order to provide comfort conditions in terms of architecture. For this purpose, a simulation study on the Harput Şefik Gül House, whose comfort conditions were not examined before were carried out with the Design Builder software, and its annual heating, cooling and lighting loads were determined. By discussing the energy requirements calculated for different orientation situations of the building, the comfort range duration of the different spaces during the year has been determined.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
