The role of various geological factors in the formation of the demethanization zone is considered in a number of works. The main factors that determine the depth of distribution of the zone of gas weathering are noted - the history of the geological development of the basin, the angle of incidence of the coal-bearing strata, the presence, thickness and nature of the covering deposits; hydrogeological conditions.
The main provisions of the laboratory work are as follows. Purpose - to determine the gas content of coal, which characterizes the actual gas content in coal, and is also the main parameter for predicting gas release into existing mine workings. The gas content is determined in laboratory conditions, and the gas pressure can be determined indirectly on the basis of sorption isotherms, which are characteristic of the corresponding different types of coal. Terms and Definitions. Gas bearing capacity, gas content is the volume of gas contained in the mass [m3/t] of coal. Depending on the composition of the gas, the gas content can be divided, for example, into methane content and carbon dioxide content. Since methane is the main constituent of gas in most cases, the term “gas content” is usually used to mean “methane content”. The value of gas content is usually taken in normal conditions (273 K and 1013.25 hPa).
Karaganda region is located on the most elevated central part of the Kazakh Upland -Saryarka. This region is a peculiar and geomorphologically heterogeneous, sharply elevated natural country. The paper considers the natural conditions of the Karaganda region and thematic factors of the physical-geographical, geological, engineering geological, ecological-geological directions of research, for the preparation of the foundations for the compilation of an engineering-geodynamic map for the assessment and typification of geo-risks, as well as their geonomization. A series of methodological requirements have been developed as monitoring criteria for a comprehensive assessment of hazards, risks and vulnerability of the population and the territory to the processes of long-term mining by open-cut and underground coal mines in the study area. Of all the geological structures, the most thoroughly studied is the Karaganda synclinorium, elongated in the sublatitudinal direction. The middle part of the synclinorium is occupied by a coal basin. A geological and ecological basis for compiling a new engineering-geological and ecological-geological map for assessing and typing geo-risks is presented, which takes into account coal-bearing formations, coal grades, mining areas and geo-risks manifested in 2020. Data have been developed for the certification of geo-risks of various types that appear as a result of the continuation of the development of a coal deposit in order to minimize their negative impact.
Karaganda region occupies the most elevated central part of the Kazakh hillocky area - Saryarka, which is a peculiar and geomorphologically heterogeneous, highly elevated natural country. The relief is complicated by shallow hummocks, river valleys, dry watercourses, holiows with outcrops to the surface of groundwater, closed basins, lake basins. The total area of the state forest fund on the territory of the Karaganda region is 269.6 thousand hectares. High temperatures and lack of rain in summer, the presence of vast steppe zones can lead to wildfires in July-September. Karaganda region is a large industrial center. Main industries: mining (mining of coal, ferrous and non-ferrous metal ores), ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, chemical industry. The share of processing enterprises accounts for 80.1% of industrial production.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
