The relationship between organizational politics and organizational commitment is examined in this study examines A survey research method was adopted. 245 staff were randomly selected for the study. Regression analysis was employed for testing the hypotheses formulated. The results indicate that “Go along to get ahead” has a positive relationship with organizational commitment. Pay and promotion policies influence organizational commitment and General political behavior” positively influence organizational commitment. The study concludes that firms should pay attention to organizational politics because it promotes commitment among workers.
The study examines the connection between Electronic Banking service quality and customer satisfaction. The study used a survey research approach. 344 participants were selected randomly for the study. The data from 302 respondents suggest that E-banking service quality dimensions (innovation, technology competence, reliability and tangibility jointly influence customer satisfaction. Further, innovation, technology competence, reliability and tangibility had positive and significant effects on customer satisfaction. All four hypotheses were supported. We, therefore, conclude that deposit money banks must optimise their E-banking service to improve customer satisfaction.
To sustain the competitive edge, competent Human Force are required both at present and in the future and to achieve that, best practices are in reconciling the need of the employees in terms of health, and safety in workplaces in an organization. This study examines best practices, employee's occupational health and safety and the mediating role of organisational culture in a glass manufacturing company. The study uses responses from 350 employees of BETA Glass Company in Nigeria relying on regression analysis techniques and PLS structural equation modelling to test four hypotheses. This study validates the assumptions that training and development dimension of best practices positively impacts employee's health and safety in the workplace. This study affirms that leadership quality dimension of best practices fosters employee's health and safety in the workplace. Further, safe work procedures a dimension of best practices promote employee's health and safety in the workplace. Similarly, the result suggests that organisation culture mediates the relationship between best practices and employee's health and safety in the workplace. We, therefore, conclude that the relationship between best practices and employee's health and safety in the workplace is both linear and indirect..
This study examines the impact of business ethics on corporate social responsibility. We has employed surveys conducted on 50 manufacturing companies listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. 236 employees participated in the study. The regression results suggest that ethical code, corporate image, ethical leadership and brand equity influences corporate social responsibility of sample manufacturing firms. Our results lend support to the role business ethics play in fostering corporate social responsibility in the emerging country context. Drawing on the stakeholder perspective, the study addresses business ethics and corporate social responsibility, thus adding to strategic management literature, especially in Nigeria. This study informs managers and stakeholders in the manufacturing sector on the importance of creating an enabling environment that encourages corporate social responsibility.
