In order to quantitatively reveal the influence of check dam measures configuration on the runoff formation and evolution process in the Huangqiu area, artificial rainfall simulation experiments were used in indoor small watersheds, and small watersheds under different check dam measures deployment scenarios (no dam, single dam, double dam) were tested. The characteristics of hydrodynamics and erosion dynamics of the runoff at the outlet section of the watershed are studied. The results show that the check dam has a significant impact on the river basin runoff and sediment transport process. After the check dam is laid out, the average runoff is reduced by 71.58%, and the average sediment production rate is reduced by 85.60%. decrease to varying degrees. Based on the random forest algorithm, the relative importance of the hydrodynamic and erosion dynamic parameters affecting the sediment yield and sediment particle size is sorted, and the Reynolds number Re and runoff erosion power are relatively important factors affecting the erosion sediment yield and particle sorting motivation factor. The research results provide theoretical and technical support for the construction and development of check dams in the Loess Plateau.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
