It ranks sixth in incidence among all malignant neoplasms, making a significant contribution to the third leading cause of cancer mortality in the world. [7][8][9] The liver is the organ that is more often compared to other organs, is exposed to metastatic lesions, especially in cancer of the digestive tract. 10 In pancreatic cancer, liver metastases occur in 50% of cases, gastric cancer metastasizes to the liver in 35% of cases, colorectal cancer from 20 to 50%, breast cancer in 30%, and esophageal cancer in 25%. 10
