The purpose of this paper is to find the influence of child demographics and parent demographics on family communication patterns for both Indian and Japanese children in family purchase decision making. In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the authors have used descriptive research design and have used a survey method to collect responses from parents of both Indian as well as Japanese expat children living in India. The results of the study suggest that the demographics have significant influence on family communication patterns except gender of child. Marketers can frame the family profiles of their interest according to the communication pattern followed in the family and then target them accordingly with suitable media and marketing programs.
Online gaming has become a popular form of entertainment which has shifted children's playgrounds to computers, laptops, mobiles, tablets, etc. Children spend their time surfing, playing, and downloading games from the internet. Advergaming is one of the latest digital advertising techniques used by marketers to interact with the children for longer hours by embedding the brand messages in the game action. Advergaming is a blend of fun and promotion to capture the attention of children towards the advertising message associated with the branded product. The objective of this chapter is to determine how children pay attention and absorb the message given by the companies by considering hierarchy of effects models such as AIDA model and DAGMAR model. The purpose of this work as a whole is to bring more understanding of this innovative technique of promoting by detailing the elements, characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages of advergames to achieve communication goals.
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the role of various human resource management practices in contributing to employee productivity in remote work environment during the lockdown restrictions imposed because of COVID-19 pandemic. In order to achieve the objectives of our research, we have used descriptive research design and have used a survey method to collect responses of salaried employees working from home during lockdown period. The results of the study suggest that the human resource practices relating to job description, training and development, job security, equal opportunity, performance linked compensation, competence linked compensation, employee welfare all together had a significant positive effect on the maintenance and enhancement of the employee productivity. It helps the organisations to promote healthy communication, participative decision making and strategic planning for current and future growth.
