In hepatic amyloidosis, amyloid deposition is usually perireticular, within the space of Disse, and appears as a homogeneous to faintly fibrillar material which lines the sinusoids, compressing the hepatic cords and narrowing adjacent sinusoids. This is a report of caprine hepatic amyloidosis in which the amyloid was deposited in a globular form within sinusoids. Sections of liver, kidney, gall bladder, lung, and stomach were submitted to the Department of Veterinary Pathology, Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, in May, 1983, from the Maryland State Animal Health Laboratory for assessment of an unusual globular crystalline deposition within the liver.
