Jnelastic differential cross sections o f 22 MeV proton scattering for5 excited states o f "Si have been measured from 10' to 115'. Empirical effective interactions were extracted within the frame o f D W B A from the normal parity state data which transition densities were known from electron scattering. The fitting is good except for the forward angle o f 4 : and 0: states. The results are discussed.
By 22 MeV proton inelastic scattering at the forward angle of loo, the orbital chardcter of new low-lying MI excitation states in '"Gd bas been verified. At the same time, several new energy levels of '"Gd are observed, and values of spin, parity and deformation length for two new energy levels with excitation energies of 2.558 and 2.607MeV are given via collective distorted wave Born approximation calculations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
