Copper(II) complexes with some natural amino acids were prepared, and their powder ESR spectra were measured. The pattern types of the ESR spectra of these Cu(II) complexes with amino acids were classified into four types, and by the pattern type, the cis- or trans-isomer was estimated.
A single crystal of bis(β-alaninato)copper(II) hexahydrate (Cu(β-ala)2·6H2O) was prepared and measured by ESR. As the dehydration of Cu(β-ala)2·6H2O from the surface of the crystal is well known, the behaviour of the dehydration by three different drying methods was studied by ESR and it was found that the change from the dx2−y2 ground-state to the dz2 ground-state takes place.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
