Bone marrow edema is a self-limiting, under-recognized condition. It mainly involves the lower limbs. It is characterized by pain and inability to bear weight. Diagnosis is most often based on imaging and by excluding other causes. Its exact pathogenesis is still debated and various theories are postulated. Treatment ranges from anti-inflammatories to restricted weight bearing. This overview has tried to revisit this rare and perhaps forgotten clinical-radiological condition.
Arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC) is a rare disorder, presenting with multiple contractures and limb
deformities. Various theories have been proposed for the development of this congenital anomaly. The final diagnosis is
made based upon the clinical signs and imaging findings. This case report aims to outline the imaging features that can
help radiologists to make the diagnosis of AMC through radiographs and skeletal survey. Since, very few cases have
been reported in literature, no specific treatment protocols have been outlined. Therefore, antenatal diagnosis based on
characteristic imaging findings is crucial for early termination and parental counselling.
Generally, a RUG / ASU is performed to visualize the abnormalities of anterior urethra. In traumatic situation a RUG/ ASU
should be ideally performed first. As foley’s insertion is required in MCU, it is not advised to do it blindly in setting of
trauma. In this article we will discuss the detailed anatomy of the penis and urethra, with its blood supply, innervation
and lymphatic drainage.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
