In this article, we introduce a blockchain governance framework that defines the governance of a blockchain as a combination of six dimensions and three layers. An evaluation through eight expert interviews confirms the perceived usefulness and operational feasibility of the presented framework. Furthermore, the framework, is demonstrated by an application in two case studies. The introduced blockchain governance framework establishes a shared understanding and discussion surrounding the topic of blockchain governance.
With increasing global trade and growing emphasis on security, enhanced information sharing between actors in global supply chains is required. Currently, the data about cargo available in the supply chain does not provide a timely and accurate description of the goods. To solve this data quality issue, data should be captured upstream at the point where goods are packed for transport to the buyer. Without ICT, it was not possible to get timely access to the original trade data. The data pipeline concept is an IT innovation to enable capturing data at the source. The data pipeline accesses existing information systems used by the parties in international supply chains. This paper explores the data pipeline concept and the benefits that businesses and governments could obtain from such an innovation. This study also identifies the need for a public-private governance model that has to accompany the technical innovation.

a b s t r a c tIn daily practice, discrepancies may exist in the suitability match of actors and the tasks that have been allocated to them. A formal framework for cognitive matchmaking and a prototype implementation are introduced as a possible solution to improve the fit between actors and tasks. A case study has been conducted to clarify how the proposed cognitive matchmaking approach can be utilized in information systems engineering. The inductive-hypothetical research strategy has been applied as an overall research approach. A separate iteration of the strategy has been applied within the case study.
Abstract. Methods for specific tasks can among others be identified in conceptual modeling of information systems and requirements engineering in software development. Such methods dictate a specific way of working by describing necessary knowledge intensive tasks to fulfill while applying the method. An actor may experience difficulties when trying to fulfill tasks as part of a method application, related to the cognitive abilities required to fulfill a certain task versus the specific cognitive abilities possessed by the actor. This paper specifically focusses on the cognitive abilities required to fulfill a knowledge intensive task while applying a method for specific tasks. This is based on a categorization and characterization of knowledge intensive tasks and on scenarios in conceptual modeling of information systems and requirements engineering.
