Design as an activity involves certain ways and paths that must be traversed to achieve the goal. But along with the involvement of new architects in the realistic architectural world, whether it contributes to the introduction of new design approaches, influencing the direction taken to achieve design goals, the current architect in his work is the right research object to study it. The background of the knowledge makes the architect certainly form thought about their way or method of design. This research aims to find out the emerging architect's design methods in Bali in designing tourist accommodation. The benefits of the study can be used as teaching materials for students to build tourist accommodation and provide tourism actors with information about aspects that need to be considered in the design of tourist accommodation. This research's qualitative method, with in-depth interview technique and design document study with research variables, then analyzed through theories based on predetermined variables. The results of data analysis are described qualitatively to get a conclusion. The results showed two design processes (intuitive way and rational way) passed by architects in designing tourist accommodation. The design factors that are the main generator of problems in designing and design solutions are also developed differently, depending on the context and type of tourist accommodation.
Arsitektur hotel merupakan faktor yang sangat kuat dalam membentuk persepsi dan harapan wisatawan terhadap suatu tempat. Secara umum arsitektur hotel di Bali menggunakan kekhasan budaya dan alam sebagai pendekatan desain, seperti konsep Bali Style yang dikembangkan oleh generasi pertama arsitek asing. Kemudian arsitek-arsitek asing generasi saat ini melanjutkan evolusi desain menggunakan kekhasan budaya dan alam Bali dengan konsep berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini berusaha memahami metode desain arsitek asing dalam merancang arsitektur hotel. Arsitektur hotel dikaji sebagai apa yang dihasilkan desainer dan bagaimana metode arsitek asing dalam merancang arsitektur hotel di Bali. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan kualitatif, dengan menggunakan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, wawancara semi terstruktur dengan desain survei penelitian yang terbuka terhadap temuan-temuan, dan hipotesis digunakan hanya untuk membantu temuan. Arsitektur hotel akan dikaji berdasarkan apresiasi karya arsitektur melalui kandungan sejarah, mimesis, geometri, materialitas, dan dialog dengan alam. Kreativitas arsitek dalam merancang arsitektur hotel akan dikaji menggunakan penghayatan arsitek melalui imajinasi, metafora, paradoks, transformasi, obsecure, sastra, dan eksotika. Sepuluh-unit analisis merupakan faktor desain yang mencakup berbagai permasalahan terkait desain arsitektural yang dapat membentuk solusi desain. Dari penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa dialog dengan alam, mimesis, imaginasi, obsecure, space and user serta natural environment merupakan aspek yang paling dominan digunakan oleh arsitek asing dalam mendesain, sedangkan geometri, transformasi, sastra, rules and regulation serta time and budget kurang mendapat perhatian.

According to data from the Cooperatives and UKM Office of the City of Denpasar, for the type of Creative MSMEs, the Micro scale is specifically in the creative field of knitwear craftsmen. RH (Reta Handycrafts) doesn't have a packaging design yet, of course this will cause problems when introducing a product. A product that is sold has more value if it can be packaged very well, but not a few partners ignore it. able to support their business income.
