Abstract² The aim of this paper, is to study the performances of closed-loop identification techniques, and choose an optimal closed-loop identification solution, for a flexible transmission system using two recursive closed-loop identification class of methods: the direct closed-loop identification class of methods, called CLOE (Closed Loop Output Error) and the indirect closed-loop identification class of methods called FOL (Filtered Open Loop). The flexible transmission system, for which an optimal closed-loop solution is proposed, is represented by a 4 th order complex plant, with a 2 nd order delay, identified in open-loop[1],for which also a poleplacement control strategy is proposed. The closed-loop identification tests, with the flexible transmission system, are realized in the case of a constant-trace adaptation gain, with a parametric initialization starting from the parameters identified in open-loop.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
