The present study was undertaken to analyze the effect of various processing methods. Raw, Boiled, Toasted, Soaked and Fermented methods were applied on Canavalia ensiformis Jack bean seed meals to determine their nutritional compositions. The applied methods were found to improve the protein content (30%-36.60%), lipid (5.85%-9.23%), fiber (3.25%-6.35%), (2.12 g/100 g) as compared to the raw (0.81 g/100 g). Vitamins A (1425.32-6124.56 IU/100 g), B1 (0.15-0.32 mg/100 g), B3 (0.06-0.21 mg/100 g), B6 (0.03-0.19 mg/100 g), C (7.54-25.65 mg/100 g) and D (0.36-0.53 mg/100 g).

The study focuses on the traditional methods and types of Processors used by local Fishermen. The survey design method was used to collect data. The instrument involved the use of questionnaire which was randomly administered on 40 respondents in the 4 communities. Focus
The research was designed to determine the behavioural responses and acute toxicity of different concentrations of Ampicillin to Clarias gariepinus Juveniles in an indoor experiment. The lethal examination lasted for 96 hours using 0.00mg/L, 10.00mg/L, 20.00mg/L and 30.00mg/L respectively in a rectangular glass tanks, aerated and stocked at fifteen fish per tank. The behavioural, physical, mortality and water parameters were observed and LC 50 determined using probit value. The results indicated that fish exposed to ampicillin showed agitated swimming, air gulping, loss of equilibrium and haemorrhage within the 96hours exposure. The mortality recorded increased according to the increase in the exposure duration and concentrations. The LC 50 =13.80mg/L and safety level=1.38mg/L while a prediction equation of Y = 0.0783 + 4.3294X, R 2 = 0.993 p<0.05 was recorded for Ampicillin. Ampicillin is considered more toxic than all the three antibiotics and should be administered with caution.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
