Smartphone usage is almost everywhere. Hardly can you find a person without one except in very remote areas. With this popularity of smartphone usage, still it has limited resources especially in the areas of battery life, processor, screen quality and storage space. This paper has reviewed the importance of enhancing storage space of smartphone using virtualization. The following questions are raised; Can storage affect the performance of mobile applications? Can storage affect the performance of mobile battery? and Can storage be enhanced through the use of virtualization?
