The public can be defined as a mosaic consisting of various ethnic, religious and other social groups, hence the definition of public includes each individual persona. Public opinion is the voice of such public and is, therefore, considered a worthy element in political and economic discourse. Media can do much in providing education necessary for informing the public about cancerous substances in the environment. The purpose of this study is to inform the public about issues that truly matter instead of following the current trend and focus on the topics and issues of less importance.
Paper presents modelling of pollutants in the air in terms of fire on dumps. Uncontrolled fire on dumps where are tyre produce a lot of smoke and air pollutants, including benzene and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH). Great heat leads to the generation of pyrolytic oil which, when mixed with the fire extinguishing agent, contaminates the surrounding soil, surface water and underground water. Paper analyzes and presents in particular the emission factors of incomplete burning of waste car tyres. Metal dust emissions have been presented as well as volatile organic compund (VOC) emissions, slightly volatile organic compound (SVOC) emissions and emissions of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH). Evaluation of the effect on the air quality has been graphically presented by modelling of uncotrolled tyre burning by using EPA "SCREEN 3 MODEL".
Electric and magnetic fields are present everywhere electricity flows. In electric vehicles, passengers sit very close to electrical system with significant power, usually for significant period of time. The relatively high currents achieved in these systems and the short distance between power devices and passengers mean that the latter are exposed to the relevant magnetic fields. In view of this, it is important to study the values of electromagnetic field parameters on board electric vehicles to ensure compatibility with international standards. The measurements were performed inside the four conventional vehicles under the standard condition. Data of international and Bulgarian standards for safe levels of electromagnetic fields are given. After the measurements, it was established that these levels were not exceeded.
Nowadays, with increased environmental requirements to improve fuel economy, it is important to work with both the ICE and the other elements of propulsion. This report describes how to operate automatic gearboxes and specially General Motors 6T. They are very widespread throughout the world and are used by many automotive manufacturers. The deficiencies encountered during the operation and the reasons for this are discussed. There was considered the opportunities for diagnosis, emerging operational problems and the options for their removal. It is suggested to replace parts exchange details of the construction in order to improve performance and reliability. The solenoids that control the switching are ON / OFF type or pressure regulators (with a progressive or regressive characteristic). A stand test of solenoids - pressure regulators has been done under cold and warm conditions. The test results are shown in tabular and graphical form. Using this method reduces the repair time of an automatic gearbox.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
