Crossing transportation is one of the transportation media connecting areas that cannot be reached by land routes, because there is no adequate land route to pass.Adequate facilities and infrastructure will be able to facilitate the flow of goods and services as well as human mobility. One of them is the ferry transportation that connects Kota Dumai and Regency Bengkalis (Rupat). The aims of this study were to determine whether the transportation service above KMP. Mountain Muria and KMP. Swarna Dharma has complied with the applicable regulations, how is the perception and satisfaction of service users towards passenger service at KMP. Mountain Muria and KMP. Swarna Dharma as well as knowing what efforts must be made to improve transportation services in accordance with applicable regulations. The data was obtained by observing and identifying problems, using primary and secondary data approaches, primary data in the form of observation and calculation methods, while secondary data in the form of literary and institutional methods. In analyzing the data used validity and reliability test analysis using SPSS 24, analysis of the number of research samples and analysis using the Importance Performance Analysis method. The results obtained in this study KMP. Mountain Muria and KMP. Swarna Dharma has not been able to meet the minimum service standards to service users with applicable regulations.
The problem of sea transportation on Pulau Panjang, Batam City, is that it is inadequate for marine transportation owing to the lack of safety buoys, excessive passenger loads, and the absence of passenger safety insurance. The purpose of this study is to assess the marine transportation services in Pulau Panjang and their adherence to the framework of governance, and to determine the characteristics of good governance in sea transportation services. This type of qualitative research is descriptive, and anlaysed using qualitative techniques (data reduction analysis techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions (verification). There were nine research informants and one person as the key informant. The theory used in this study was the theory of good governance, namely the public government and the private sector. The results of this study indicate that sea transportation services on Panjang Island needs improving and will benefit from the involvement of three key stakeholders: the government (in the form of the Department of Transportation and the Education Office); the owner of the ferries; and the people of Panjang Island as passengers. When viewed from the principle of good governance, the responsiveness of the government already exists but is not sustainable and there is no supervision from the government and community participation is still very low so that their aspirations are not conveyed to the government and the means of transportation owned by the private sector are also not effective and efficient for used as a means of public transportation. The development of transportation is currently developing very rapidly, this is in line with the human need for transportation which is increasingly complex. Transportation is the transfer of goods or people from one place to another using a vehicle driven by a machine or human power. Transportation is useful for making it easier for humans to carry out their daily activities. With the development of technology in the field of transportation, humans are greatly facilitated by the many means of transportation such as ships that can travel long distances in a short time. Shipping goods by ship is very cheap when compared to other types of transportation. Ships have the ability to transport goods in very large quantities. The characteristics of goods sent by ship are the types of goods that can last a long time, in very large quantities. Also supported by the existence of facilities and infrastructure that are developing as it is now that makes it easier to transport, transfer goods or people from one place to another. There are facilities that support transportation that can be used. Such a port can be used as a berth for ships that will transport and move goods or people. The port is also a gateway to enter a certain area and as a connecting infrastructure between regions, between islands, and even between countries. Also supported by the existence of facilities and infrastructure that are developing as it is now which makes it easier to transport, transfer goods or people from one place to another.
The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the implementation of policies for the development of Light Rapid Transit (LRT) transportation infrastructure in Palembang City and analyze the factors that hinder the development of Light Rapid Transit (LRT) as mass transportation in Palembang City. The research method uses the constructivism paradigm through qualitative research approaches and types with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The main finding in this study is the implementation of light rail transportation infrastructure development policies towards the development of mass transportation in the city of Palembang within the scope of public service standards, there are 6 (six) scopes of public service standards that must be set at least covering the fulfillment of service procedures, completion time, cost services, service products, facilities and infrastructure as well as the competence of service providers, from 6 (six) factors there are 3 (three) factors of which have been fulfilled. The novelty/originality in this study is supported by the latest observational data and studies that support the improvement of the implementation of LRT development policies in realizing the role of mass transportation in Palembang.
