The Purpose of this study to depth analysis of family burden in taking care of people with severe mental disorders. Research methods use qualitative with phenomenology design. Research location in Blitar city. Amount Participants are four-person, those are taken by purposive sampling. The result of these study is the family burden in taking care of people with severe mental disorders are three themes, 1) objective burden, 2) subjective burden, 3) iatrogenic burden. Conclusions family of people with severe mental disorders experience overload burden are three themes, consists of 1) objective burden 2) subjective burden, 3) iatrogenic burden. Recommend of these study are given of holistic, integrated, and continual social support from family, community, and government.
