In our study, simplification to a dual therapy containing 3TC + DRV/r or ATV/r in virologically suppressed patients was effective and showed a good tolerability profile.
The overall SVR rate was 28%, consistent with the rate reported in the retreatment of mono-infected patients with the same schedule. A substantial relative reduction in the SVR rate of about one-third, when treating genotypes 1/4, was found, with a low SVR rate of 17%. Successful HIV suppression by ART predicted a higher rate of treatment success.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
