Review: Due to the rapid development of new components, this paper deals with recent developments in a compressed form. An important point is the analysis of possible plant concepts for microreactors and whether they are a sensible option. In view of the enormous difference in size between microchannels and the fluid periphery of possible components this is not only a technical question. It touches on the microtechnology concept as a whole. Review: The selection of the size reduction equipment is vitally determined by the material properties of the components forming the scrap and waste, respectively, as well as by the bonding conditions between them. The work presented in this paper focuses on the microprocesses taking place during the size reduction of metals by swing-hammer shredders as well as on the influence of the housing design and the circumferential velocity on the process.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
