The Covid-19 virus is severe for Indonesian citizens nowadays, especially the Baet people, Aceh Besar. It is due to the low awareness of the Baet people towards the implementation of health protocols. In this case, the use of masks is not considered optimal. The public's perception of unimportant masks is the background to the problem. When viewed from the health aspect, masks have an essential role during the Covid-19 pandemic to reduce the spread of Covid -19. This study aims to describe the information on the importance of using masks, which is inversely proportional to the awareness of the Baet people. The research method used by the author is the descriptive qualitative method. The results showed that residents had not realized the importance of using masks in breaking the chain of spreading Covid-19.
Mikrofungi patogen dapat menyerang biji kopi robusta (Coffea canephora) pada pohon dan gudang penyimpanan. Mikrofungi dapat merusak dan menurunkan kualitas biji kopi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik mikrofungi patogen pada biji kopi robusta (Coffea canephora) yang berasal dari pohon dan gudang penyimpanan di Lamno dengan menggunakan metode Blotter test. Sampel biji kopi robusta (Coffea conephora) yang diambil pada pohon dan gudang penyimpanan. Biji kopi yang dimasukkan ke dalam cawan petri yang telah berisi kertas saring sebanyak 3 lembar dan telah dibasahi dengan aquadest steril. Cawan petri yang telah berisi biji kopi diinkubasi selama 7 hari dengan pengaturan 12 jam terang dan 12 jam gelap. Mikrofungi yang tumbuh kemudian dipisahkan dan dimurnikan dengan media PDA. Hasil karakterisasi diperoleh 15 isolat mikrofungi patogen pada sampel biji kopi yang berasal dari pohon terdiridari 2 genus yaitu Aspergillus sp. dan Cephalosporium sp. dan 1 spesies yaitu Aspergillus niger. Sedangkan pada sampel biji kopi yang berasal dari gudang terdapat 12 isolat mikrofungi patogen yang terdiri dari 2 genus yaitu Aspergillus sp. dan Cephalosporium sp. dan 2 spesies yaitu Aspergillus niger dan Aspergillus flavus.
Heavy metals are compounds that have high toxicity and can cause serious health problems for humans and pose a serious threat to the sustainability of the ecosystem. Prokaryota microorganisms and eukaryotes have the ability to process bioremediation of heavy metals in the environment. Marine fungi as eukaryotic microbes that have high species diversity. The ability to live in marine fungi is influenced by environmental factors that differ from the terrestrial environment such as temperature, pressure, and salinity. Marine fungi have a characteristic structure of metabolites and their ability to bioremediate heavy metals in various processes, namely bioaccumulation, biomineralization, biosorption, and biotransformation. Bioremediation of heavy metals by marine fungi is related to the composition of cell wall structures that have many crosslinking polysaccharides (chitin, chitosan, glucans), glucuronic acid, galactosamine, a small amount of glycoprotein, together with melanin and phenolic polymers containing phenolic units, peptides, fatty acids, which provides quite a lot of oxygen-containing groups such as carboxyl, carbonyl, amino, hydroxyl, phosphate, methoxy and mercapto which are potentially metal binding sites.
Air nira aren mengandung glukosa, sukrosa, fuktosa, karbohidrat, dengan pH 6-7 dan berbau harum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung total koloni dan kadar alkohol selama proses fermentasi air nira secara spontan dengan waktu 0-72 jam. Total koloni pada air nira aren (Arenga pinnata) pada 24 jam pada pengenceran 10-1 tidak dapat dihitung karena terlalu besar, 10-2 (2,06x102 cfu/ml), 10-3 (0,167x103 cfu/ml). Total koloni pada 48 jampada pengenceran 10-1 (11,4x101 cfu/ml), 10-2 (0,87x10-2 cfu/ml) dan 10-3 (0,069x103 cfu/ml) dan 72 jam pada pengenceran 10-1(10,3x101 cfu/ml), 10-2 (0,86x102 cfu/ml) dan 10-3 (0.036x103 cfu/ml). Pengukuran kadar alkohol pada air nira dari waktu (0-72 jam) mengalami peningkatan yaitu pada 0 jam belum terbentuk alkohol sedangkan pada 24 jam kadar alkohol yang didapat 0%, 48 jam kadar alkohol yang dihasilkan 0,1% dan pada 72 jam 0,2%.
