Penyakit degeneratif adalah penyakit kronik yang mempengaruhi kualitas hidup seseorang. Diabetes mellitus dan hipertensi merupakan penyakit degeneratif. Penyakit degeneratif semakin berkembang karena menurunnya aktivitas fisik, gaya hidup dan pola makan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang gejala, komplikasi, pencegahan, dan terapi penyakit degeneratif khususnya penyakit diabtes mellitus dan hipertensi dan untuk mengetahui kadar glukosa darah dan tekanan darah kepada pada remaja anggota karang taruna Desa Ketegan Kecamatan Tanggulangin Sidoarjo. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik dan berhasil hal ini ditinjau dari kelancaran acara dan partisipasi anggota karang taruna Desa Ketegan. Peningkatan kualitas kesehatan perlu dilakukan dengan membangun kesadaran dan peningkatan edukasi kepada anggota karang taruna serta perlu melakukan kontrol kesehatan secara teratur ke pusat kesehatan terdekat hal ini karena penyakit tersebut membutuhkan pengelolaan dan tata laksana yang termonitor secara berkala.
Indonesia has a potential to be exposed to the threat of dengue hemorrhagic fever with the point vector, the Aedes aegypti mosquito, so development need to be stopped. The use of synthetic larvicides in eradicating mosquito larvae can cause environmental pollution. To reduce it, an alternative is needed using plant larvacides with banana leaf. Banana leaves are obtained from Candi Sidoarjo. Ethanol extract of banana leaf contains tannin compounds, alkaloids, terpenoids, saponins, and flavonoids which can be used as larvicides. This research was conducted to determine the toxic effects of banana leaf extract (Musa paradisiaca L.) on the larvae of Aedes aegypti mosquito mortality. This research was conducted using the post test only the control group design with 6 treatment groups including control (aquades) and banana leaf extract concentrations of 1000 ppm, 2000 ppm, 3000 ppm, 4000 ppm, 5000 ppm. This study used third instar larvae, each test group countaining 20 larvae with 4 repetitions. That obtained were analyzed using data and probit tests. The results of this study that banana leaf extract has a toxic effect on Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae with LC50 at a concentration of 4638 ppm.
The soap of mangkokan (Nothopanax Scuteliaium Merr) leaf extract is a soap made from extracts of leaves mangkokan (Nothopanax Scuteliaium Merr) with different concentration of mangkokan leaf extract, among others, 70%, 80% and 90%. The Purpose of this research to determine the effect of concentration of mangkokan soap on the physical properties and microbiology. Physical properties include pH and water content while Microbiology includes the inhibitation of the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus. Analysis in this reasearch using one way anova factorial design 1 x 3. The results obtained in this reasearch is the difference in concentration of mangkokan (Nothopanax Scuteliaium Merr) leaf extract significantly affect the pH value of the soap and the difference in concentration of mangkokan (Nothopanax Scuteliaium Merr) leaf extract there is no significant influence on the water content and the inhibition of bacterial.

Diarrhea causes frequent (BAB) defecation more than 3 times in 1 day with the consistency of liquid feces as a result of food contaminated with flies. The existence of an extract test using Kenikir Leaves can reduce the population of house flies. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Kenikir Leaf (Cosmos caudatus) extract against the death of house fly (Musca domestica) with different concentrations and achieve Lc50 killing power. Experimental research using post-test Only Group Design, by means of accidental sampling technique. Based on the technique of the spray method, they were grouped into six treatments, namely the control group (without treatment), P1 (10%), P2 (20%), P3 (30%), P4 (40%), and P5 (50%). The process is carried out for 72 hours. Of the five concentrations that Lc50 has obtained 48.067% results so that it can kill flies as much as 63%. The results showed that there was a statistically significant effect using One-Way ANNOVA (p>0.05) on Kenikir Leaf extract which was able to kill flies with the best concentrations of 40% and 50%, respectively.
