The success of endodontic procedures depends on various factors like biomechanical preparation, disinfection or sterilization of the pulp space, and at last but not the least i.e. obturation of the canal for disinfection of the prepaired canal space, only instrumentation is not abundant. The use of some other aids for this, like endodontic intracanal irrigants are quite necessary and essential for the same.
Orthodontic implants used to provide an anchorage that is useful for the straightening of teeth. These implants are called orthodontic mini-implants/micro-screws and serve as temporary implants. Here in this discussion, we are going to study about indications, contraindications, risk factors associated with the implants.
In today’s time laser has been used widely in various fields of dentistry, out of all one is in the field of orthodontics and proved to be as useful equipment. Specific lasers such as soft tissue lasers can be used in the treatment of exposure of the tooth surgically with its prime advantage of very less bleeding as well as little bit of swelling it is also helpful in reducing the potential of post reducing pain. Along with all this the other applications of lasers in the field of orthodontics are, they are helpful in etching the superior most surface of the tooth i.e. enamel as well as helpful in bonding of the bracket to the enamel and vice versa i.e. debonding of the bracket from the superior most surface of the tooth i.e. enamel. Lasers are also helpful in tooth movement along with reducing the pain threshold.
Lack of knowledge or its poor application in clinicals can lead to a number of accidental errors during the root canal therapy. The preventive measures and management of these mishaps is must for the success of the endodontic therapy and to maintain the natural integrity of the teeth. Thus, in this paper we are going to discuss about the different types of endodontic procedural mishaps with their management briefly.
The process of deploying the two dimensional data in to the three dimensional format is three dimensional imaging. Now a days three dimensional imaging is developing as an emerging factor in the field of dentistry. Three dimensional imaging is useful in the field of orthodontics, to view the anatomy along with the morphology of the bone for desired tooth movement, it is useful in the field of prosthodontics to check or verify the bone morphology, exact height and width of the bone for the process placing implant, three dimensional imaging is quite useful in the field of endodontics along with oral surgery to view the anatomy of the root curvature, to confirm the presence of accessory canals to confirm the bony architectural defect in oral surgical procedures. So in present days three dimensional imaging plays an important role in diagnosis as well as treatment planning in the field of dentistry.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
