This paper deals with the use of FT-IR diffuse reflectance measurements for the monitoring of silane-treated naturally occurring kaolin clays. We show quantitative results for three of the most common silanized clays including precision and accuracy data obtained from neat, unprocessed samples. No Kubelka-Munk correction was required since the Δlog (1/ R) values measured were very low, as determined by comparison with Kubelka-Munk corrected data.
Corrected fluorescence spectra are presented for 20 polynuclear aromatic compounds. The applications of corrected spectra, as well as instrumentation and techniques for providing these spectra, are described.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
