Home gardens in the forest areas of the central and southern provinces of Cameroon are characterized by the rich biological diversity of local and introduced species. This study is based on several surveys and field observations of 150 households in 5 villages. It describes the main crops found in this garden system, their applications, and traditional processing methods, and proposes several species with multiple applications that could be introduced or developed in these home gardens.
